Trail Rides
By far the most popular activity, horseback riding, is fun for the whole
family at Watch Lake Lodge. If you want to join in on any of the rides
book early as they fill up quickly! There two rides daily, and all the rides
are well supervised. Riders can be as young as 7 years old. There are three
or four experienced wranglers on each ride. Everyone from beginners to
advanced are welcome. See the
Horseback Riding - Trail Rides page for all the information.
Fishing
Fishing is good for Kamloops trout, up to 3 to 5lbs. Trolling is most
popular, but lots of fishermen fly fish as well. Because of the speed
limit of 8km/hr the lake is nice and quiet and float tubing works well.
There is also fishing in many nearby lakes. Row boats are available
either for fishing or just exploring the lake. If you have a small outboard
motor you are welcome to bring it along. The boats can handle up to 9.9
horse power motors. Boat rental - $3:00 per hour and $15.00 per day
Other on site Activities
Swimming is good and the swimming area is near the cabins. No water
skiing or jet skiis are allowed as the lake is too small for high speed
watercraft - there is an 8km/hr speed restriction. There is a horseshoe
pit and the hiking is very pleasant. If you have a canoe or sailboat bring
it along!
